Abstract
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran guru dalam pembentukan
akhlak peserta didik kelas IX B di Salafiyah Wustho Islamic Centre Bin Baz
Yogyakarta Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah
kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala
sekolah, bagian kurikulum, dan guru akhlak. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi,
wawancara, dan analisis dokumen.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru sangat penting dalam
membentuk akhlak peserta didik. Guru berperan sebagai pengajar dan pembimbing
yang mentransfer ilmu dan nilai-nilai akhlak kepada peserta didik. Faktor
pendukung dan penghambat peran guru juga memengaruhi proses pembentukan
akhlak peserta didik.
Saran untuk penelitian ini adalah melakukan studi lanjutan yang lebih
mendalam, memperluas cakupan penelitian dengan melibatkan lebih banyak
subjek, melakukan pemantauan dan evaluasi secara berkala, mengadakan workshop
atau pelatihan bagi guru, serta mendorong kerjasama dengan para ulama dan ahli
akhlak. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi
yang signifikan dalam pengembangan pendidikan akhlak di lembaga pendidikan
pesantren.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the role of teachers in shaping the character of
ninth-grade students at Salafiyah Wustho Islamic Centre Bin Baz using the
approach of Ibn Taimiyah's theory. The research method employed is qualitative
with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects include the school
principal, curriculum department, and ethics teachers. Data were collected through
observation, interviews, and document analysis.
The results indicate that the role of teachers is crucial in molding the character
of students. Teachers act as educators and mentors who impart knowledge and
moral values to the students. Supporting and inhibiting factors affecting the
teachers' role also influence the process of character formation among students.
Recommendations for this study include conducting further in-depth
research, expanding the scope of the study by involving more subjects, monitoring
and evaluating periodically, organizing workshops or training for teachers, and
fostering collaboration with scholars and experts in ethics. Thus, this study is
anticipated to make a significant contribution to the development of moral
education in Islamic educational institutions.
