Fenomena penurunan moral generasi muda di era modern menjadi perhatian serius, terutama karena pengaruh lingkungan digital yang tidak terkontrol dan kurangnya metode pendidikan anak yang tepat. Banyak anak-anak mengalami krisis karakter akibat tidak diberikannya pendidikan adab dan akhlak sejak dini. Rasulullah ﷺ sebagai suri teladan seluruh umat memiliki metode yang efektif dalam mendidik anak. Kitab Al-Adabul Mufrad karya Imam al-Bukhari menjadi salah satu rujukan penting dalam memahami bagaimana Rasulullah ﷺ membentuk karakter anak melalui pendidikan yang penuh kasih sayang dan nilai-nilai luhur.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi pustaka (library research). Data primer berasal dari kitab Al-Adabul Mufrad, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari buku-buku pendukung, jurnal, artikel, dan literatur relevan lainnya. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis isi (content analysis) dengan tahapan reduksi data, kategorisasi, penyajian data, hingga penarikan kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat berbagai metode pendidikan yang diterapkan oleh Rasulullah ﷺ dalam mendidik anak, antara lain melalui keteladanan, kasih sayang, komunikasi yang baik, pendekatan yang sesuai, dan pemberian pelajaran secara bertahap. Metode tersebut terbukti efektif dalam membentuk karakter anak. Selain itu, metode pendidikan Rasulullah ﷺ yang terdapat dalam Al-Adabul Mufrad juga relevan dan aplikatif dalam konteks pendidikan modern, karena mampu menjawab tantangan zaman dengan tetap menjaga nilai-nilai moral dan spiritual anak.

The moral decline among the younger generation in the modern era has become a serious concern, largely influenced by uncontrolled digital exposure and the lack of proper parenting methods. Many children face character crises due to the absence of early education in adab and Islamic values. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, as the role model for all Muslims, implemented effective methods in educating children. The book Al-Adabul Mufrad by Imam al-Bukhari serves as a significant reference in understanding how the Prophet ﷺ nurtured children's character through love, wisdom, and moral teachings.
This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using library research. The primary data source is the book Al-Adabul Mufrad, while secondary sources include relevant books, journals, articles, and supporting literature. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed using content analysis techniques, which involve data reduction, categorization, presentation, and conclusion drawing.
The research findings reveal that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used various educational methods in raising children, including exemplary behavior, compassion, effective communication, appropriate approaches, and gradual value transmission. These methods proved effective in character building. Furthermore, the Prophet’s ﷺ educational methods in Al-Adabul Mufrad  remain highly relevant and applicable to modern education, as they provide moral and spiritual guidance in facing contemporary challenges.
