Abstract
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep pembelajaran bahasa Arab dalam perspektif
Mufti Yusuf Mullan sebagaimana yang dipaparkan dalam karyanya Arabic Acceleration
Report. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan
menjadikan buku tersebut sebagai sumber utama, kemudian diperkuat dengan data sekunder
berupa jurnal, artikel, serta referensi akademik lain yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa Mufti Yusuf Mullan menawarkan pendekatan alternatif yang inovatif dalam
pembelajaran bahasa Arab dengan menekankan empat prinsip utama: (1) pemaknaan bahasa
yang bersumber dari pola, vokal, dan struktur, bukan semata dari kosakata, (2) urgensi
menciptakan momentum belajar untuk menjaga keterlibatan pembelajar, (3) penerapan strategi
belajar dimulai dari materi tersulit sebagai bentuk desirable difficulties untuk meningkatkan
retensi, dan (4) implementasi Prinsip 80/20 (Pareto Principle) sebagai strategi efektivitas
pembelajaran. Pendekatan ini menawarkan perspektif baru yang dinilai lebih adaptif, efisien,
dan kontekstual dibandingkan metode tradisional yang cenderung linear dan berbasis teks.
Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam inovasi pembelajaran bahasa
Arab serta menjadi referensi bagi penelitian selanjutnya.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the concept of Arabic language learning from the perspective of
Mufti Yusuf Mullan as outlined in his work Arabic Acceleration Report. This research employs
a library research method, with the book serving as the primary source, supported by secondary
sources such as journals, articles, and other relevant academic references. The findings indicate
that Mufti Yusuf Mullan offers an innovative alternative approach to Arabic language
instruction by emphasizing four key principles: (1) meaning derived from patterns, vowels, and
structure rather than vocabulary alone, (2) the importance of creating learning momentum to
maintain student engagement, (3) learning strategies that start from the most difficult concepts
as a form of desirable difficulties to improve long-term retention, and (4) the implementation
of the 80/20 Rule (Pareto Principle) as a strategy for efficient learning outcomes. This approach
presents a new, more adaptive, efficient, and contextual perspective compared to traditional
linear, textbook-based learning methods. The results of this research are expected to contribute
to the development of innovative Arabic language learning models and serve as a reference for
future studies.
