Abstract
ABSTRAK
Wahit Hasyim, 201371058. ”Peran Guru Dalam Pendidikan Karakter Islamiyah
Kelas 7 Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Centre Bin Baz Yogyakarta”. Penelitian ini dilatar
belakangi ketika peneliti melakukan kegiatan observasi di Salafiyah Wustha Islamic
Centre Bin Baz Yogyakarta, dimana peneliti dapati karkater siswa terutama kelas 7
yang sangat membutuhkan perhatian penting. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui peran, kendala, dan faktor pendukung guru PAI dalam membentuk
karakter Islamiyah kelas 7 Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Centre Bin Baz Yogyakarta.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi yang
dilakukan sebelumnya untuk mengetahui permasalahan lebih dalam dan menentukan
langkah apa yang akan digunakan sebagai tindakan perbaikan. Hasil dari penelitian
tersebut adalah sebagai berikut : Guru mempunyai upaya dalam membentuk karakter
islamiyah yaitu dengan memberikan materi dan motivasi kepada peserta didik ketika
proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu guru juga berupaya dengan memberikan
telada yang baik dan menjadi role model dalam kehidupan siswa sehari hari
khususnya dalam lingkungan sekolah. Faktor penghambat dalam membentuk karakter
Islamiyah siswa di Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Centre Bin Baz Yogyakarta adalah Latar
belakang santri yang berbeda-beda serta beberapa pendidik yang belum mempunyai
kapasitas yang memadai dalam menguasai kemampuan pembentukan karakter.

Wahit Hashim, 201371058. "The Role of Teachers in Islamic Character
Education of Grade 7 Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Center Bin Baz Yogyakarta". This
study was motivated when researchers conducted observation activities at Salafiyah
Wustha Islamic Center Bin Baz Yogyakarta, where researchers found that the
character of students, especially grade 7, needed important attention. This study aims
to determine the role, constraints, and supporting factors of PAI teachers in shaping
the Islamic character of grade 7 Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Center Bin Baz
Yogyakarta. This study uses a qualitative method by conducting observations
conducted previously to find out more about the problem and determine what steps
will be used as corrective action. The results of the study are as follows: Teachers
have efforts in shaping Islamic character by providing material and motivation to
students during the learning process. In addition, teachers also try to provide good
examples and become role models in students' daily lives, especially in the school
environment. The inhibiting factors in shaping the Islamic character of students at
Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Center Bin Baz Yogyakarta are the different backgrounds
of students and some educators who do not have sufficient capacity in mastering
character building skills.
